Introducing Konstance Patton, an Artistic Force with a Passion for Empowering Communities

With a vibrant palette of experience spanning over two decades, Konstance is not just an artist; she is a catalyst for change and a beacon of inspiration. From igniting the creative sparks in young minds to transforming urban landscapes into breathtaking masterpieces, Konstance has left an indelible mark on the art world.

Born in Michigan and based in New York, Konstance is an enrolled member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians in Michigan.  For 23 years, Konstance has honed her craft as an art educator, imparting her wisdom and nurturing artistic talent in both children and adults. Her dedication to fostering creativity has seen her collaborate with esteemed institutions such as the Central Park Conservancy, The New York Department of Education, and the Non-Profit Weeksville Heritage Center. Through her tireless efforts, she has spearheaded numerous community arts education initiatives, enriching the lives of countless individuals.

But Konstance's artistic prowess extends far beyond the classroom walls. As an award-winning artist, she has woven her imagination into the fabric of 20 countries, leaving a trail of awe-inspiring works in her wake. Notably, her talent has been recognized at North America's largest mural festival “The Akumal Mural Festival”, where her captivating piece took center stage, capturing the hearts and minds of all who beheld it.

In 2022, Konstance's unwavering commitment to her community was further acknowledged when she received the prestigious Soho Business Improvement District "2022 Cast Iron Award Partner Award." She was also nominated for the IFundWomen’s Entrepreneur Of The Year Award.  Her visionary leadership and community organizing work, centered around murals and the beautification of neighborhood blight following the 2020 shutdowns in Soho, NYC, set a shining example for artists worldwide.

During the tumultuous times that followed the George Floyd protests in 2020, Konstance rallied fellow artists to breathe life back into the city through art. She created the Artist Collective, Soho Renaissance Factory, and painted murals from Chinatown to The New York Public Library and Harlem. Believing that the youth are the architects of our future, she dedicated herself to equipping them with the resources they need to unlock their full potential. Her students, guided by her passion and expertise, have achieved remarkable milestones, securing scholarships at top-tier art schools, publishing books, and finding fulfilling careers in their chosen fields.

Konstance proudly carries on a rich family tradition of community teaching, drawing strength from the bonds forged between generations. She hosts two art festivals, The Be A Lover Fest in NYC, and The Potluck Detroit, bringing together the community to create and rethink their future together.  Through her artistry, she seeks to break down barriers, inspire change, and create a world where creativity knows no bounds.

When you step into the vibrant world of Konstance, be prepared to embark on an unforgettable journey—a celebration of artistic expression, empowerment, and the transformative power of art in building a brighter future.
